Who is the mystery winner?
Three students won lunch with the Mayor as a bingo prize during our PTO event last month. We have received two of the forms but are still missing one. If your child won this prize, please turn in the bottom portion of the yellow form as soon as possible. Thanks!
At the monthly meeting on August 17, 2017, the KCSMA Board of Directors recognized the 5th grade team for taking the reduction of the 5th grade classes and physical move to the first floor and turning it into a STEM activity for the students. Fifth Grade teacher Mrs. Cauthen accepted the certificate of recognition from Board member Dave Peeples.
Mr. Donnelly and Mrs. Green were recognized for their International Master Gardener 2017 Search for Excellence Award, third place. Mr. Donnelly, Science Specials teacher, accepted the recognition award from Dave Peeples.
Time change: 7:00pm
It is a new school year, and we are thankful for all of the support we have received about the changes that have taken place. In an effort to show our continued support of KCSMA, we strongly encourage all stakeholders (parents, staff, community members) to attend the monthly meetings of the Board of Directors.
These are formal meetings, and only those who sign up for public comment 30 minutes before the meeting convenes may speak during the meetings. However, just attending the meetings is an opportunity to keep abreast of the latest school news.
Note from the PTO: Children are welcome to attend, but we would advise that you have something to keep them occupied. Sometimes, it can be difficul to hear what the Board members are saying if there is a lot of background noise.
Think you know which PTO Executive Board Member is a Sci-Fi fanatic? Want the opportunity to win a week of ASP paid for by PTO? Then Meet Us at the Bash, the KCSMA Back to School Bash. It’s tonight, from 6:00-8:00 pm There’ll be music, food, games and prizes. Can’t wait to see you there!
We need volunteers to work at the KCSMA Scholastic Book Fair. To make the most of the book fair experience for the students, we need many volunteers to assist the students with their wishlists and help with shopping.
Please sign up for as many slots as you want. 🙂 There are time slots during the day, other slots for set up, packing, during Family Movie night, during Open House, and extended shopping after school on Fridays.
YOUR CHILD’S TEACHER WILL RECEIVE A $5 SHOPPING CREDIT FOR EVERY SHIFT YOU WORK. If you have more than one child, please designate which teacher you would like to receive the credit.
