INTERNATIONAL SPRING CELEBRATION
Saturday, May 2nd, 11:00am-2:00pm
Join other families and staff to celebrate the diversity of cultures we have at KCSMA through food, hands-on crafts, activities, country tables, performances, and a silent auction (benefiting the STEM program by building a TV station inside our media center).
As part of the International Celebration, we would like to make a physical exhibit to celebrate the diversity in cultural backgrounds we have at KCSMA. We would like to demonstrate how we come from all over the world and have different customs by marking our origins on maps and sharing our histories. We will be displaying every history that is turned in, and we will place a mark on the map for every place that our students and their parents were born.
An email was sent to all families, with a My History document attached. We are asking students to fill out their family history and turn it in. The histories can be handwritten, typed, include pictures, etc. We hope you will complete this project as a family, and we would love to hear stories, customs, or anything that you would like to share about your cultural background. If you need a copy of the form, please visit https://kcsmapto.wordpress.com/ . These histories are due by Friday, May 1st.
